Sarcophagus lid;, The deceased is shown in a semi-reclining position, resting his left forearm on a pillow and holding a laurel wreath in his right hand. He wears a short-sleeved tunic and a cloak which, when thrown over the head, reveals the torso and left arm from shoulder to elbow; the right foot is visible from under the cloak. The human figure has very elongated proportions, with particularly disproportionate legs. Date: 2nd half of the 2nd century BC. Place of origin: Etruria. Object type: sarcophagus. Dimensions: height 71 cm, width 203 cm, depth 48 cm; weight 108 kg., A reclining stone figure with a pale beige and light brown surface wears draped garments with visible folds; the figure's head is covered by a hood-like drapery and shows a neutral facial expression with carved eyes and short textured hair. One arm rests along the side while the other hand holds a wreath of carved leaves, both hands and forearms showing similar beige and brown tones with subtle reddish patches. The base and surrounding structure share the same pale beige and tan coloring with areas of darker brown weathering and fine cracks and repairs visible across the sculpture.
