Votive head, unknown creator, Head of a young man covered with a shawl, from under which hair emerges in the form of a fringe and falls in curls below the temples, covering the ears. Large, wide-open, and convex eyes, large, straight nose, narrow mouth with wide, slightly curled, as if pouting lips. The face with a strong chin alludes to classical traditions. 4th century BC, Central Italy, votive offering. Height 27.3 cm, width 20.5 cm, depth 18.5 cm, weight 3.5 kg., A rounded, head-shaped object with a textured, porous surface in sandy beige and light brown tones sits against a solid gray background, showing small darker speckles and a few pale whitish spots on its surface; the base widens slightly and rests on a reflective surface that mirrors the bottom edge, and subtle shadows and variations in beige and brown indicate uneven texture across the form.
