Udja-hera shabti, Udja-hera ca. 380–343 BC. Mummy-shaped funerary figurine shabti, Late Period, 30th Dynasty, Egypt. Height 15.5 cm; width 3.9 cm. Standing on a base with back supported by a pillar. Arms crossed on the chest right folded over left, elbows and shoulders subtly marked. Holds hoes in each hand with slightly curled handles; right hand also holds a twisted rope from which a basket is slung over the left shoulder. Convex tools and engraved basket. Wears a long three-part wig combed into narrow strands with main strands ending in borders; long tapering, curled beard; large ears; proportionate, carefully crafted facial details with a slight smile. Inscription engraved in three columns separated by lines on the front of the figurine's legs. Mentions of wigs, hieroglyphs, hoes, beards, Book of the Dead, grave goods, and funerary function., A small carved figurine stands on a rectangular wooden base; the figurine is turquoise and bluish-green with areas of darker green and slight brownish spots, and it depicts a mummiform human figure with a headdress and a stylized beard, arms crossed over the chest holding narrow objects. The figure's face is visible with carved eyes, nose, and mouth, and the body shows vertical carved panels with repeating shallow incisions. The wooden base is light brown with a visible grain and smooth worn edges, and the background is a uniform medium gray.
