Udja-hera shabti, maker, Udja-hera ca. 380–343 BC. Mummy-shaped funerary figurine shabti, Late Period, 30th Dynasty, Egypt. Standing on a base with back supported by a pillar; height 15.5 cm, width 3.9 cm. Arms crossed on the chest right over left with subtly marked elbows and shoulders; holds hoes in each hand whose handles are slightly curled. Right hand holds a twisted rope with a basket slung over the left shoulder; convex tools and an engraved basket. Wears a long three-part wig combed into narrow strands ending in borders; long beard slightly tapering and curled; large ears; proportionate, carefully crafted facial features with a slight smile. Inscription engraved in three columns separated by lines on the front of the figurine's legs. Mentions wigs, hieroglyphs, hoes, beards, Book of the Dead, grave goods, purchase provenance., A small statuette of a standing figure with crossed arms wearing a straight wig and a narrow beard, rendered in a turquoise-blue material with subtle greenish and whitish weathering; the figure has a calm facial expression with carved eyes and a defined nose and mouth, and a long tapered body that narrows toward a rectangular base; the surface shows carved vertical decorative markings along the front of the lower body, and the background is a uniform mid-gray.
