Vessel, Egyptian pottery, ceramic clay vessel. A conical vessel, widest at approximately 3/4 of its height. The shoulders are wide, almost horizontal to slightly sloping. The neck is wide, short, funnel-shaped, widening towards the spout. The spout is wide, flat in the upper part, slightly rounded at the bottom, slightly asymmetrical. The bottom is slightly convex, asymmetrical. The surface is even. The lower part of the vessel has been worked to approximately 2/3 of its height with a knife or similar tool. The outer surface and the inner surface of the rim and neck are covered with a layer of dark red engobe. Vessel color: dark red. Vessel complete; surface eroded in many places, with numerous clay chips on the rim. Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–2181 BC; Edfu.
