Sekhmet figurine, Figurine of the lion-headed goddess Sekhmet, shown standing or walking. The figure has a lioness head in a tripartite wig topped with a solar disk adorned with a uraeus. Sekhmet's right arm hangs down at her right side, clenched into a fist, showing a hole left by a lost cult object; the left arm was broken at the elbow. The figurine was broken at Sekhmet's knuckles and is mounted on a modern cylindrical wooden base with a contoured edge. 664–525 BC; Late Period, 26th Dynasty, Egypt. Figurine, height 9.7 cm., A small bronze statuette of a standing anthropomorphic figure with an animal-like head is shown mounted on a round dark pedestal; the figure has a slender elongated body, one arm hanging at the side and the other bent behind the back, and a circular disk behind the head. The visible colors are dark brown and bronze tones on the statuette and black on the pedestal, set against a light gray background.
