Medum-type bowl, Clay bowl with hemispherical shape narrowing just below the rim to form a carination; rounded bottom and straight, slightly widening spout whose diameter is slightly larger than that of the shoulders. Surface even, covered with a red engobe and polished. Vessel color: red. Fairly well preserved with minor losses on the rim. c. 2494–c. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom, 5th–6th Dynasty, Edfu. Vessel; height 7 cm, spout diameter 26.4 cm, weight 0.90 kg., A group of terracotta-colored ceramic vessels sits against a smooth gray background, including a tall pedestal bowl with a wide shallow dish on top showing a rounded rim and a flared base, and a conical bowl holding a bulbous-necked jug with a slightly pinched rim; the surfaces display a warm reddish-brown terracotta tone with subtle lighter speckles and worn marks, contrasted with the cool mid-gray backdrop.
