Jug, ceramics, Egyptian pottery, clay vessel. Medium-sized jug with a biconical body, widest at about half its height; wide shoulders, not very sloping. Wide, almost cylindrical neck widening toward the spout, the neck about one-third of the vessel's height. Profiled, irregular spout, slightly raised and extended on one side forming a small spout; spout almost triangular in cross-section with an approximately millimeter-sized cylindrical bulge on the outer profile. Bottom almost flat, very slightly rounded. Made of Nile clay NB1? per Vienna System. Neck likely made separately and joined to the shoulders. Outer surface leveled, covered with engobe and polished; inner surface leveled except for the neck, which was also engobed and polished. Reddish-brown color. Quite well preserved; rim slightly chipped in two places and engobe worn off in places on the outer surface. Dated to the 6th Dynasty; Old Kingdom, from Edfu.
