Snake-headed fibula, Southern Italian workshop, fibulae, Italy, snake iconography, silver. Fibula with an arched, thick hoop. The hoop is terminated on one side with an imitation spiral, and on the other side connected to the rectangular wall of the sheath, bent at the bottom. A cylindrical leg extends from the sheath, bent towards the hoop, ending with a snake's head. The hoop is decorated with numerous longitudinally engraved lines. Condition: corrosion, missing needle. 5th–4th century BC, Southern Italy., A small metallic object resembling a curved clasp or decorative piece sits against a plain gray background, showing a dark silver color with areas of lighter silver highlights; one end features a stylized animal head with a slightly open mouth and ridged neck, the middle has a flat rectangular section with a textured, worn surface, and the opposite side forms an arched, ribbed band that terminates in a rounded, curled end.
