Snake-headed fibula, unknown Southern Italian workshop. Fibula with an arched, thick hoop. The hoop is terminated on one side with an imitation spiral, and on the other side connected to the rectangular wall of the sheath, bent at the bottom. A cylindrical leg extends from the sheath, bent towards the hoop, ending with a snake's head. The hoop is decorated with numerous longitudinally engraved lines. Condition: corrosion, missing needle. 5th–4th century BC, Southern Italy. Materials: silver. Iconography: snake., A metallic object with a silver-gray finish is shown against a pale gray background; it appears elongated with a tapered central section featuring raised ridges and fluting, a rounded end with a small protrusion, and a ring-like opening at the opposite end that has an irregular, textured surface; the metal shows darker gray shadows and lighter silver highlights across its surface.
