Cow astragal, Myrmekion Crimea, Hellenistic period, bones, cow astragal condylo-talus bone with a regular hole drilled in the center, 332–30 BC, Myrmekion findspot, natural product, height 4.2 cm, A weathered, irregularly shaped object with a smooth, rounded form and textured surface sits against a plain background; its dominant colors are shades of dark gray and black with areas of lighter gray and subtle brownish tones, and there are small patches of muted reddish-orange on one side; the surface shows cracked patterns and worn, glossy highlights, with concave and convex contours, a few depressions and cavities, and a suggestion of layered or eroded material around some edges.
