Figurine of a maenad. A young woman standing in a wreath tied with a ribbon is dressed in a chiton slipped from her right shoulder exposing her right breast and upper arm, and a cloak that envelops her hands. The left hand rests on her hip; the right leg is pushed back. The robe is light pink and decorated at the bottom with a wide border and a narrow beetroot-colored stripe above it. A similar border is found at the bottom of the cloak, and a wide border in the same color runs around the cloak. The back of the figurine is unfinished. Without base. 3rd–2nd century BC previously dated 2nd century BC. Myrina. Figurine. Height 26.5 cm; width 9.2 cm; depth 7.4 cm; weight 0.39 kg., A worn statue viewed from the back showing a standing human figure draped in flowing garments with visible folds and a rounded halo-like element around the head; the surface shows a patina of beige and tan with areas of faded reddish pigment and small darker spots, and there is a dark circular hole in the upper back area; the background is a smooth gray.
