Bowl with Greek inscription. Glass bowl made of transparent, light blue glass with a Greek inscription reading Rejoice that you have come. Uneven rim edge, cold-worked. Relief decoration in the lower register: radially arranged long leaves flutes; inscription in the upper, widest part, bounded at top and bottom by horizontal ribs. Produced by blowing technique in a three-part form. Type: Harden group G.1.IIa. Date: 1st century Sidon; 1st half of the 19th century note appears conflicting. Place of origin: Sidon; place of discovery: Cyprus. Vessel; weight 0.070 kg; diameter 4.5 cm bottom, diameter 7.4 cm rim; height 7 cm., A single translucent glass vessel with a rounded body and slightly flared rim sits against a neutral gray background, showing rippled and irregular surface textures and molded horizontal bands and decorative raised patterns around its midsection; the glass displays a pale blue-green tint with areas of cloudy white and subtle brownish discoloration near the rim, and a soft shadow is visible beneath the vessel.
