Date-shaped unguentarium; Syro-Palestine workshop; Smyrna place of discovery; 1st–beginning of 2nd century AD; Type: Isings form 78D. Translucent amber glass, inclined rim with inwardly curved edge; blown in a two-part mold. Rim diameter 2 cm; height 8.15 cm; belly diameter 2.95 cm; weight 0.020 kg., A single elongated object with an irregular, textured surface resembling a vessel or pod, predominantly brown with areas of dark brown and black; the surface shows iridescent highlights in purple, blue, and hints of green and pink; the top narrows into a short neck with a flat, circular rim and a small loop or handle attached, both darker brown to black; the body has flowing, vertical ridges and a glossy, slightly reflective finish interspersed with matte, rougher patches.
