The surface is predominantly black with areas of worn exposed terracotta orange where the finish has chipped, especially along the rim, handle edges, base, and scattered spots across the body. The jug rests on a flared circular foot that also shows patches of orange and black. The handle has a pronounced loop and shows similar wear revealing orange beneath the black glaze. The overall appearance includes a few scratches and surface imperfections on the black surface.
