Barrel-shaped jug, unknown Cypriot workshop, ca. 850–600 BC, Cyprus Arsinoe.; vessel, height 12 cm, width 10 cm. Barrel-shaped body terminated on both sides by small protrusions. Cylindrical neck terminates in a cup-shaped spout. A band-shaped vise connects the body to the neck midway up. Decoration in brown paint: concentric bands encircling the barrel; two wide light-brown bands on either side of the vise framed by narrow dark-brown bands. At the protrusions the bands form concentric circles. Transverse bands between two vertical bands decorate the vise. A series of concentric belts on the neck.
