Ariballus lekythos with a depiction of a seated woman; unknown Apulian workshop; Classified Gallo-Classical Scenario; Eros mythology, Greek deities; Southern Italian ceramics; Seated woman with a casket; on the sides a youth crowned by Eros and the figure of a woman; 350–325 BC; Apulia place of finding; Ariballus lekythos vessel; height 28.4 cm, width 12.3 cm, weight 0.520 kg., A ceramic jug with a tall flared neck and single curved handle, decorated in black and terracotta tones with a few areas of white; the body shows a standing female figure in terracotta outline against a black background, a small winged figure nearby, and ornate palmette and spiral motifs in terracotta on the opposite side; the rim, handle, neck, and base are predominantly black with small speckles of terracotta wear, and there are decorative bands and patterns encircling the shoulder and foot.
