On the sides a youth crowned by Eros and the figure of a woman., 350–325 BC, Apulia place of finding, Ariballus lekythos vessel, height 28.4 cm, width 12.3 cm, weight 0.520 kg, A standing ceramic vessel with a narrow flaring neck and a rounded body sits against a plain gray background; the surface shows a glossy black base color with painted orange designs, including several stylized palmette or fan-shaped motifs and scroll-like patterns that repeat around the body, a band of geometric meander decoration near the foot, and a few circular ornamental elements; the neck and lip are black with some small areas where the orange clay shows through, and the foot is finished in black with an orange rim.
