The main painted panel is divided horizontally into two registers: the upper register features a series of stylized figures with rounded heads and red and pale green garments flanking tall black vertical shapes, set on a yellow background; the lower register shows a row of standing human figures in profile wearing long red and pale green robes with black hair against a yellow ground. The base and edges of the box show exposed wood in brown and reddish tones, and the overall palette includes yellow, red, black, brown, pale green, and blue.
