Pyxis with a lid, unknown Boeotian workshop. Pyxis with a lid with a high handle. Cylindrical body with slightly concave walls. Decorated with a plant motif. Set on three legs; there is a sharp edge above the leg. The bottom is decorated with a black circle with a varnish stain in the central part. Technology: visible traces of turning; good quality glossy varnish; cleaned clay. Notes: reconstructed artifact—large part of the rim and body of the vessel and lid have plaster additions. 2nd half of the 4th century BC, Boeotia. Pyxis, vessel; weight 0.950 kg., A circular ceramic object viewed from above with concentric rings and a central circular motif, showing areas of tan, black, and dark brown; the rim has chipped and repaired sections with lighter tan patches and visible wear, and the background is a uniform gray.
