Dagger, unknown Luristan workshop. A fully cast Luristan bronze dagger with a full hilt and a flared pommel. The pommel, shaped like two angled, opposing crescent-shaped lobes, merges into a narrow shaft that continues into a rectangular element imitating a casing with curved mounting plates at the bottom of the hilt such hilts also had casings of various materials applied. The hilt merges directly into a double-edged blade that tapers evenly toward the tip. A ridge runs from the tip of the engraving toward the center of the superstructure, which after a short distance splits, creating a long, narrow, triangular flat field. 9th–6th century BC; Iron Period II.
