Figurine of a goat, unknown Near Eastern workshop; ibex, animal figurine, metalwork. Figurine of a goat standing on a base in the form of a hollow prism, with two pairs of holes on the longer sides, used to mount the figurine probably on a wooden handle. A round hole is also located in the front of the ibex's torso and may have been used to attach ornaments, e.g., bells. One of two similar goats. 1st half of 1000 BC. Asia Minor, Iran. Figurine; height 3.8 cm, width 2.8 cm, depth 1 cm., A small sculptural object shaped like an animal with a raised head and a pointed tail, showing a rough, uneven surface with visible patina in green and brown tones and touches of dark reddish and black; the form has an open triangular space between its slender legs, a round hole in the body, and a flat base with two rounded protrusions, all photographed against a neutral light-gray background.
