Amulet — figurine of a lion-headed goddess, lionesses, Egyptian deities; Sekhmet, Wadjit, Bastet ; lion-headed goddess with a lotus scepter in her left hand right lowered. 664–332 BC, Late Period, Egypt. Amulet; height 4 cm, width 1 cm, depth 1.2 cm., A small elongated object with a rounded top that has a lobed edge and three raised central ridges, showing a weathered surface in shades of green and turquoise with areas of brownish discoloration and small patches of darker green; the lower portion narrows into a straight stem with a darker underside and a small area of red pigment on one side; the background is a uniform light gray.
