Black-finished lamp, unknown Attic workshop. Lamp made on a wheel. Circular, flattened vessel with curved vertical walls. Flat, circular base. Vertically attached, ribbon-like handle. Handles sloping downward, outward. Large oil hole disc missing. Medium-length burner, slightly upturned. Entire piece coated with black varnish engobe/firnis before firing. Attic clay. 425–400 BC, Myrmekion; Attica origin. Oil lamp; height 2.5 cm, width 5.6 cm, length 9.6 cm., A small rounded ceramic vessel with an integrated handle and spout, showing worn patches of black glaze over a tan clay body, with areas where the tan surface is exposed through the flaking black, all set against a neutral pale gray background.
