Black-finished lamp, unknown Attic workshop. Lamp made on a wheel. Circular, flattened vessel with curved vertical walls. Flat, circular base. Vertically attached, ribbon-like handle. Arms sloping downward, outward. Large oil hole disc missing. Medium-length burner, slightly upturned. Entire piece coated with black varnish engobe/firnis before firing. Attic clay. 425–400 BC, Myrmekion; Attica origin. Oil lamp; height 2.5 cm, width 5.6 cm, length 9.6 cm., An aged ceramic oil lamp with a rounded body, a raised circular reservoir, a tapered spout, and a curved handle, showing a mottled surface with patches of black and pale terracotta, placed on a smooth light gray background.
