Ushabti, Mummy-shaped figurine, preserved head and fragment of torso. Arms crossed on the chest, hands placed at the same level, next to each other, holding hoes. On the back a rectangular basket is slung on strings over both shoulders. On the head a long, smooth, three-part wig with a headband. Triangular face with proportional details, eyes slightly closed. Headband, tools, and facial details painted. ca. 945–715 BC; Third Intermediate Period, 22nd–23rd Dynasty, Egypt. Ushabti, height 5.2 cm., A small turquoise-blue figurine of a human head and upper torso shown in profile against a plain gray background, with a darker blue-black band across the top of the head and several dark curved markings on the body, a worn and slightly rough surface with patches of lighter and duller blue and some small areas of beige wear, the facial features including a nose and chin visible in profile and the back of the head extending down like a straightened hairstyle or headdress.
