Ushabti, Mummy-shaped figurine, very schematically shaped. Hands crossed on the chest. On the head is a long, tripartite wig. Facial details illegible. Not inscribed. ca. 1069–656 BC; Third Intermediate Period, Egypt. Ushabti; height 9.4 cm., A narrow vertical object resembling a carved figure is centered against a plain gray background; the surface is rough and weathered with a textured, pitted appearance and mottled colors of green, blue-green, tan, beige, and hints of brown; the top area suggests a simplified head shape with shallow facial contours and elongated side forms, while the elongated body beneath shows uneven surface irregularities and discoloration, ending in a rounded base with a visible crack.
