Bowl, excavations at Nea Paphos Cyprus - equivalent. Goblet on a low, ring-shaped stem; walls diverge at a strongly obtuse angle and bend slightly inward at three-quarters height with one small horizontal vise at the bend. Light-sand clay covered with light-brown paint outside and brown-red inside. Painted exterior decoration: narrow horizontal lines slightly darker than the ground, two horizontal purple stripes under the rim, a stripe covering the edge of the rim; belly just below the rim. Inside: numerous light purple horizontal lines. Cypriot pottery, Bronze Age, 1650–1200 BC. Vessel goblet, height 8 cm, width 17 cm., A shallow rounded bowl with a short foot, shown from the front against a neutral gray background, displaying an aged surface with worn patches and areas of flaking; the bowl is primarily tan and light brown with bands of darker brown near the rim, and there are patches of off-white residue and small speckles of darker brown and reddish-brown across its exterior.
