Bowl, excavations at Nea Paphos Cyprus — Bronze Age, 1650–1200 BC. Ceramic footed bowl/goblet on a low ring-shaped stem; walls diverge at a strongly obtuse angle and bend slightly inward at three-quarters height with a small horizontal vise at the bend. Light-sand clay with light-brown exterior paint and brown-red interior. Exterior painted decoration: narrow horizontal lines slightly darker than the ground, two horizontal purple stripes under the rim, a stripe covering the rim edge, and a belly stripe just below the rim. Interior with numerous light purple horizontal lines. Origin: Cyprus. Dimensions: height 8 cm, width 17 cm., A shallow, rounded ceramic bowl resting on a small foot, shown from the side against a neutral gray background, with a short protruding spout on one side; the bowl surface shows a weathered, rough texture with scratches and flaking, and has a base color of light brown and tan with areas of darker brown streaks and mottled white patches, with several horizontal darker bands near the rim and a few small dark spots across the body.
