Cypriot gourd jug, Excavated at Nea Paphos Cyprus. Cypriot pottery, Cypriot Bichrome Ware III. Small vessel with a barrel-shaped gourd-shaped body, without a foot, with a spherical bottom. On both shorter sides the center is marked with a small protruding point. A single ring-shaped handle on the longer side, mounted above half the height of the body and at the base of the neck, curved downwards. Quite long neck, strongly flaring, conical spout. Yellow clay with yellow-brownish engobe. Decoration in black-brown and matte red: spout externally with a wide matte red band beneath a narrower black band; belly decorated on both sides with two groups of three concentric black-and-brown lines of varying widths and spacing in groups on the shorter sides the outer line is much wider. Protruding points are marked in black-and-brown. Dated 850–700 BC. Vessel from Cyprus., A rounded clay vessel with a narrow neck and flaring rim, featuring a curved handle that connects the neck to the shoulder; the surface shows a worn, textured finish with painted circular and banded geometric patterns. The visible colors are beige, tan, brown, and dark brown, with areas of lighter and darker weathering across the form.
