Disc of cloth with a strip of hieroglyphic text running along the edge, separated from the figurative representations by a red line. Inside, several registers of representations: at the top a barge with a baboon adoring the feather of a maat second baboon? in the cabin, behind the cabin a male figure, behind the barge a ba bird in a gesture of adoration. In the center — a four-headed ram-headed bilateral figure of a seated deity, adored by two pairs of baboons. Lower register not preserved. 3rd century BC; early Ptolemaic period, Western Thebes, varia, height 17 cm, width 19 cm, A round, flat textile object with a coarse woven texture in brown and tan tones, showing a partially preserved circular painted design near the top edge in faded black and dark brown lines and a muted reddish-brown arc; the painted area includes fragments of linear and curved motifs and a few small circular shapes, and much of it is worn away with irregular patches of flaking, peeling, and darker brown stains; the lower portion of the piece is mostly plain woven brown fabric with visible weave, while the upper portion shows more varied tan, beige, dark brown, black, and muted red colors where the paint and damaged fibers remain.
