Funerary altar of Lucius Terentius Tarpius and Mucia Polla with Latin inscription. Unknown Roman workshop. At the top is a channel for a liquid offering. Sides decorated with representations of sacrificial vessels – a jug and a platter with the head of Medusa. End of the 1st century previously dated to 2nd half of the 1st century–1st half of the 2nd century. Roman Empire 27 BC–476. Sepulchral funerary architecture; Latin inscriptions. Altar; height 90 cm, width 59 cm, depth 44 cm, weight 480 kg., A carved stone slab standing upright with a rectangular central panel bordered by raised molding and set on a stepped base, the top edge shaped with a curved, decorative crest featuring spiral motifs; the stone surface is light gray with areas of darker gray and beige weathering, showing rough, chipped edges and a few pitted spots, while the central panel appears smoother than the surrounding frame; overall the object has an aged, worn texture with subtle shadows emphasizing its carved relief.
