Bowl with palm leaf decoration. Fine-grained clay, pink-brown 2.5YR 5/6; glaze covers the entire surface, brown-red 2.5YR 4/8–5/8 with a slight sheen. Entire vessel slightly cracked; inside shows slight reflections of the glaze. In the center of the bottom is stamped decoration: four palmettes and four triple rings in a radial arrangement, surrounded by a roulette band between two concentric fluted grooves forming a medallion. Vessel made using a thin-walled technique, smooth at the fracture, classified as Group A Late Roman African pottery Late Roman Red Slip Ware A. Stamps: palmette Hayes type 10; triple rings Hayes type 26; stamped decoration in Palm Style B. Dated 360–450. Place of origin: Carthage Tunisia, Africa Proconsularis. Vessel, weight 0.824 kg; bowl height 5.9 cm, diameter 32.8 cm., A shallow, wide terracotta dish seen from the side with a rounded rim and a gently sloping body, showing surface wear and irregular patches of lighter discoloration; the dish is mainly reddish-brown with areas of pale pinkish-white and darker brown mottling, set against a neutral gray background.
