Blade - sickle insert, flint tool used as a sickle insert; Sumer; Uruk culture, ca. 4th–3rd millennium BC c. 4000–c. 3100 BC; Southern Mesopotamia; material culture; tool., A vertical, narrow stone fragment with a textured, irregular left edge and a straighter right edge sits centered against a uniform gray background; the stone shows a range of muted colors including beige, tan, light brown, gray, and touches of darker brown, with subtle areas of greenish-gray and faint reddish discoloration near the top; the left side features a scalloped, chipped profile while the right side has a shallow central ridge running lengthwise, and the surface displays uneven roughness, small pits, and weathered patches.
