Ushabti, Mummy-shaped figurine shabti. Standing on a base with a flat pillar behind. Arms folded across the chest with only the palms protruding from under the shroud. Holds a hoe in the right hand and a pickaxe in the left; ends of the tool handles slightly curled and tools convex. A twisted rope slung over the left shoulder in the right hand, with a trapezoidal basket hanging from this rope on the back. Smooth three-part wig, long braided beard, round face with proportionate facial details. Not inscribed. Late Period, Egypt, 664–332 BC. Height 12.2 cm., A narrow vertical figurine viewed in profile, predominantly turquoise with areas of greenish-blue and pale blue, showing patches of brownish and tan discoloration and small dark spots; the figure has a rounded head with carved facial features and a long braided or draped hairstyle, a suggestion of crossed arms at the chest, a long straight body that tapers toward the feet, visible horizontal cracks and breaks along the midsection and lower leg, and a flat base at the feet, all set against a plain gray background.
