Ushabti, Mummy-shaped figurine shabti, 664–332 BC, Late Period, Egypt. Standing on a base with a flat pillar behind it. Arms folded across the chest with only the palms protruding from under the shroud; a hoe in the right hand and a pickaxe in the left, both tools convex with slightly curled handle ends. A twisted rope is slung over the left shoulder in the right hand, with a trapezoidal basket hanging from the rope on the back. Smooth three-part wig, long braided straight beard, round face with proportionate facial details. Not inscribed. Height 12.2 cm., A small elongated figurine with a rounded top resembling a human head and shoulders, a narrow tapered body and a flat rectangular base, showing a textured surface with pitting and areas of wear; the head and shoulders display simple facial features and a suggestion of raised arms across the chest, with a small hole visible near one shoulder; the object shows mottled colors of pale turquoise, greenish-blue, and patches of brown and beige, set against a plain grey background.
