Shabti, Mummy-shaped figurine, funerary gift, standing on a base, back supported by a pillar/pilaster. Arms crossed on the chest, right folded over the left. A pickaxe in the left hand, a hoe in the right. On the back is a basket, slung by a single string over the left shoulder. On the head is a three-part, smooth wig. The beard is long, smooth, and straight. The face has well-proportioned features, the mouth set in a slight smile. Painted inscription on the front of the legs in a single wide column framed with lines illegible. Late Period, Egypt, 664–332 BC. Shabti; height 11.1 cm., A small carved figurine in beige and light brown tones stands upright against a solid gray background, showing a stylized human form with a rounded head, faint facial features, and long hair or headdress that falls to the shoulders; the body tapers down into a narrow wrapped or draped lower form with subtle surface pitting and darker brown speckling, and a flat base at the bottom with a few small indentations.
