Shabti, Mummy-shaped figurine standing on a base, back supported by a pillar/pilaster. Arms crossed on the chest with only the hands visible from under the shroud; right hand holds a hoe and left hand holds a pickaxe. A basket is slung on a string over the left shoulder on the back. Wears a three-part smooth wig and a long, straight, smooth beard. Large eyes, wide nose, grimacing mouth, very large ears. Inscription placed on a pilaster — illegible. 332–30 BC; Late Period–Ptolemaic period, Egypt. Shabti, height 8.5 cm., A slender vertical statue of a standing figure shown in profile on a small rectangular base, with a textured surface and worn details; the figure has a defined head with facial features, a rounded chest, and arms held close to the body, and the back shows a shallow groove running down its length; visible colors include tan, beige, brown, hints of green and faint pink on the lower side, and the base is a dark grayish color against a solid mid-gray background.
