Ushabti - upper part of a figurine. Mummy-shaped funerary figurine, head and torso fragment. Figurine resting on a pillar with arms crossed on the chest, hoes in both hands. A twisted rope from the right hand runs over the left shoulder to the back. Convex tools; a basket hangs on the back on a string, the basket is engraved. Wearing a three-part smooth wig and a long, wide smooth beard. Large almond-shaped eyes and large ears; other facial details damaged. Inscription placed in a column on the pillar; text illegible. Late Period, Egypt, 664–332 BC. Ushabti; height 3.5 cm., A small turquoise-colored carved figure shown in profile against a plain gray background, with areas of brownish soil or patina on its surface and some lighter beige at the base; the figure has a rounded head, a prominent nose, closed eyes, and carved details suggesting hair or a headdress and draped clothing, with a textured, pitted surface and variations of turquoise, brown, beige, and small darker speckles.
