Shabti legs, Mummy-shaped figurine fragment: legs preserved from the knees down. Feet rest on a base; back supported by a pilaster. Painted hieroglyphic inscription in vertical lines on the front of the legs. Late Period, Egypt, 664–332 BC. Shabti; height 8.5 cm, width 2 cm., A vertical fragment of a glazed ceramic object shown against a solid gray background, with a glossy surface in shades of bright blue and a paler turquoise blue on the central raised area; the piece has irregular, broken edges revealing a rough, beige inner material, and the glazed surface shows small pits and areas of brownish discoloration; the shape widens slightly at the bottom with rounded protrusions and has two fluted vertical ridges along the sides.
