Gnathia-style mug, antique mug from Apulia Southern Italy, 4th–3rd century BC. Red clay with glossy varnish, white-painted decoration and yellow retouching. Flat bottom, convex belly tapering to a wide spout; band-like handle. Decoration mainly on upper belly opposite the handle: three elongated female heads in profile facing left with large eyes and hairstyles shaded with yellow, surrounded by an ornament of ivy fruit and leaves. Vessel cup., A round black object with a handle, seen from above against a gray background, showing worn and chipped areas with small spots of a light brown color and a few white scuff marks.
