Gnathia-style mug, Gnathia style, Apulia, Southern Italy; 4th–3rd century BC. Red clay with glossy varnish, white-painted decoration and yellow retouching. Flat bottom, convex belly tapering at the top into a wide spout; band-like rim. Decoration on upper belly opposite the rim: three elongated female heads in profile facing left with large eyes and hairstyles shaded with yellow, surrounded by ivy fruits and leaves. Vessel/cup, antique Greek ceramics., A black ceramic vessel with a wide, flattened rim and a single loop handle showing signs of wear; a painted profile of a human head with golden-brown hair appears on one side, surrounded by decorative white motifs and wavy lines, with small white dot clusters and abstract white shapes cascading nearby; the background is gray.
