Fragment of a shabti, unknown creator; mummy-shaped funerary figurine, grave goods. Middle part of the torso of a shabti figurine, preserved from the elbows to mid-thighs. Visible hands holding hoe tips, traces of an engraved column of inscription on the front, back pillar on the back. Celadon glaze. 332–30 BC; Ptolemaic Period, El-Kantara. Shabti, height 4.6 cm., A fragment of a porous object with an irregular, broken shape is centered against a solid gray background; the fragment shows rough, pitted interior surfaces in a light beige color and an outer surface with a weathered, greenish-tan patina, with areas where the beige interior is exposed and where the greenish-tan exterior varies in tone.
