Fragment of a shabti, Mummy-shaped funerary figurine shabti, grave good, upper part preserved to the beginning of the thighs. On the head is a smooth tripartite wig; hands hold hoes; a back pillar is present. Facial features are carelessly rendered. Celadon glaze. Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC; from El-Kantara. Height 7.8 cm., A small sculpted figure with a rounded head and simplified facial features atop a tapered body mounted on a rectangular stepped base; the upper portion shows an eroded, rough surface with patches of pale green and light brown, while the lower shaft and base have smoother surfaces in beige and tan tones against a solid gray background.
