Amulet - Duamutef. Relief figurine of Duamutef, one of the Sons of Horus. A mummy-like figure with a dog's head covered with a wig, holding a scroll of fabric in front of himself. The back is smooth with two holes for attachment. Part of a set of four Sons of Horus. Late Period–Ptolemaic Period, 664–30 BC, Egypt. Amulet; height 4.6 cm, width 1.4 cm., A small weathered figurine of an animal-headed standing figure shown in profile against a plain light gray background, with a pronounced snout and pointed ear, a mane-like ridge along the back of the head, and arms folded across the chest holding a long vertical object; the surface is rough and pitted with worn edges, showing a patina of greenish-blue, pale turquoise, gray, beige, and areas of brownish tan.
