Amulet — Anubis. Anubis is depicted as a striding man with the head of a dog Canidae. Arms hang at his sides, hands clenched. Torso broad at the shoulders, narrowed at the waist. Pleated skirt with a loose belt, slightly lowered in the middle, reaches above the knees. Tripartite wig covers the head. A sort of mane is visible around the narrow, carefully modeled muzzle. Small, clumsily made ears are second-hand additions. Rear pillar reaches 2/3 of the figurine's height, with a drilled hole in its upper part. ca. 1069–525 BC; Third Intermediate Period–26th Dynasty. Origin: Egypt. Amulet. Height: 7.4 cm., A standing carved figure with an animal-like head and upright ears, depicting a human-shaped body wearing a short pleated skirt and a fitted upper garment, all in a weathered beige to light brown stone with darker brown accents on the ears and some shadowed areas; the surface shows rough texture and areas of lighter cream wear, with subtle variations of tan and ochre across the torso, arms, and legs, and a neutral pale gray background.
