Head of a Man - Forgery, Unknown Role Classification of Creator, Author. Male portrait head. The face is slightly elongated with straight eyebrows and slightly slanting eyes. The upper eyelids are marked with rollers. The nose is wide, slightly angled, and upturned, with marked lobes and holes. The mouth is slightly protruding. The corners of the mouth are slightly turned up, giving the impression of an artificial smile. The chin is strongly marked. The ears are large, protruding, with elaborate earcups. A claft is worn low on the forehead, tucked behind the ears, and flows down to the shoulders. The folds of the claft are marked with parallel engravings. Traces of brown pigment in the folds. 1st half of the 20th century, Egypt. Sculpture, height 16.5 cm., A carved stone head mounted on a dark wooden block, showing a stylized face with a rounded forehead, prominent ears, and a subtle smile; the head has a striped, bobbed headdress with carved grooves and an overall worn, slightly rough surface. The colors visible are pale pinkish-beige on the head with faint traces of darker brown and off-white, a dark brown block, and a neutral gray background.
