DMR, after 1500 According to Walicki, Polska sztuka gotycka, p. 34, it comes from an unknown town in the Lowiecko district, from an unknown workshop - probably Warsaw, bas-relief, height 39.8 cm, width 115.8 cm, depth 3.7 cm, A carved wooden relief shows a recumbent male figure lying on a raised platform with a group of people gathered around him; the male figure has long hair and a beard and his arms rest across his torso, and several hands from the surrounding figures touch or support his body. The surrounding group includes figures with hoods and head coverings, one with flowing hair, and two figures at the ends appearing to steady the platform; facial features and drapery folds are carved in low to medium relief. The surface shows worn areas and traces of old paint or pigment on clothing and parts of the platform, with visible colors including brown wood tones, muted red, faded beige or ochre, and small areas of darker and lighter discoloration. The overall composition is horizontal and rectangular, with the carved scene occupying the central band and rougher, unfinished wood visible at the sides and base.
