Hand cross fragment, Simple engraved decoration on the surface: four triangular cutouts arranged in the form of a cross; below the holes are two rather carelessly engraved crosses. The reverse is also decorated with a cross motif; decoration engraved with a thin, shallow line. Dark wood. 20th century, Ethiopia. Cross; height 26 cm, width 8 cm., A vertically oriented carved wooden object with a dark brown surface showing lighter worn areas and scratches, featuring a pointed top with a small raised diamond-shaped element and carved cutouts forming a symmetrical four-petaled motif near the upper portion, flanked by small protruding shapes on each side; the lower portion tapers into a handle-like shape with visible patches of lighter and darker brown wear and some faint carved line patterns, all set against a neutral gray background with a few small areas of lighter discoloration on the wood.
