Hand cross, Diamond-shaped arms, wide grip almost same width as the arms, merging into a poorly defined plaque in shape of an elongated rectangle topped with a trefoil inset. Bilateral decoration, almost identical on sides A and B, limited to simple incisions at the edges of the cross arms and horizontal zigzag stripes and a double X on the plaque. 16th–20th century, Ethiopia. Metal cross, height 28 cm, width 5 cm., A long, narrow carved wooden object with a dark brown, weathered surface against a light gray background; the top end is shaped with a pointed, scalloped outline and the bottom end tapers to a decorative, rounded tip with carved geometric motifs near the lower section; the central shaft is relatively smooth and rectangular, showing natural wood grain and worn areas, and the lower portion features incised patterns with zigzag and cross-hatched textures.
